ASRB NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET-I) 2016 :
The Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold NET(I)-2016 Examination during 01.08.2016 to 06.08.2016 in Online mode at 23 Centres across India in a staggered slot wise examination format as per the rules and scheme of examination indicated in this notification. Online registration for the examination shall started from 5th June to 1st July 2016. Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before filling application form.
National Eligibility Test (NET) is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for the position of Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the State Agriculture Universities and other Agriculture Universities, Candidates clearing the National Eligibility Test will be eligible to apply for the Post of Lectures or Assistant Professors in the SAUs / AUs. NET certificates will be issued by the ASRB to the qualified candidates to enable them to apply against vacancies to be notified or advertisements by the State Agricultural Universities / Agricultural Universities. SAUs / AUs will satisfy themselves with regard to fulfillment of [prescribed eligibility condition / criterion for requisite posts of Lectures / Assistant Professors including authenticity of the NET certificate on the possession of the candidates.
Scheme & Syllabus for ASRB NET(I) - 2016 Examination :
There will be one paper of 150 marks consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice question to be solved in 2 hours duration. Each question carries one mark. There 150 questions shall be delivered from the Respective discipline in which the candidates has opted to appear.

General Conditions :
The examination will be conducted in Online format at the designed centres. The answer are to be indicate on the Computer itself during the Examination.
candidates must mark the answer / papers in their own hand. Under no circumstance, they will be allowed the help of a scribe to mark the answer fro them. Only the Visually Challenged (VC) and Orthographically Challenged (OC) candidates with both arms affected may be allowed the help of a Scribe only with the prior permission of the Board provision of a Scribe will made by ASRB on prior request made by such candidates ten days before the examination. An additional time of 20 minutes per hour will be allowed to such candidates.
The Standard of paper will be that of a master Degree of an University in the relevant Discipline.
