Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India Under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Foundation sponsored National Scholarship Scheme For Meritorious Girl Students that also known As MAEF SCHOLARSHIP 2016 / MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP 2016. The Foundation was established on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's Birth Century celebration. Scholarship provide for Meritorious Girls Students who have got 55% marks in Class 10th Examination and got Admission in Class 11th. MAULANA AZAD EDUCATION FOUNDATION (MAEF)
The Foundation was established on the occasion of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Birth Century celebration. His eventful life was packed with Outstanding achievements in the diverse fields. He was towering figure on the Indian Political scene and a Scholar rated high in the realms of Urdu Literature to this he added a trend setting innings as a journalist. But his greatest claim to fame was his contribution as a thinker with a world vision and Humanist outlook. A dogged freedom fighter and un-failing upholder of secular and democratic values.
The Foundation is a voluntary, non political , no profit making social service organization, established promote education amoungst educationally backward sections of the Society. It is fully funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. The Minister of Minority Affairs is Ex - Officio Presidents of the Foundation.
Objective of the MAEF Scholarship :
The Scholarship is given to recognize, promote and assist Meritorious Girl Students belonging to National Minorities who can continue their Education without Financial Support.
Scholarship will be admissible for expenditure on Payment of School / College Fee, Purchase of Syllabus Books, Purchase of Stationary / Equipment required for the Course and Payment of Boarding / Lodging charges.
Scholarship Amount :
The amount of Scholarship will be Rs.12000/ (Rupees Twelve Thousands Only) which will be released in Two Installments of Rs.6000 Each. The First Installment will be released after sanction of Scholarship and the Second installment will be released when students will submit Proof of Passing Class 11th and Admonition to Class 12th in the Office of the Foundation.
Eligibility Criteria For MAEF Achieving Scholarship :
Only Girls Students belonging to National Minorities ( Muslim / Christians / Sikhs / Jains / Buddhists / Parsis ) can Apply.
Candidates should have secured not less than 55% marks in the Secondary School Certificate (10th Class) Examination conducted by any recognized Board / Council.
Applicant Family income of the all sources should be less that Rs.100000 (One Lakh) in the preceding Financial year. In case of salaried class, the student must indicate the designation, pay scale, basic pay and other allowances along with total Gross & take home emoluments of the parent / Guardian.
Students should have Confirmed Admission in Class 11th (XI). Admission Slip issued by the College / School where the students is presently studying and verification of the principal (Annexure I), In the Prescribed proforma must be sent with the Application.
The University / College / Institute offering admission should be recognized by the Government at the Central or State level or any other Competent authority.
It is one time Scholarship, and no claim as permanent beneficiary will be entertained. Students once selected for scholarship can not avail the same again.
A Student getting a scholarship from any other source would not be eligible for this Scholarship.
Required Documents with Applications Form :
Income Certificate / Affidavit should be issued by Tashilder, Block Officer (BDO) or Notary Public of the Concerned are / Block / District. Specimen of Income Affidavit should be produce in Hindi / English language and Type on Rs.20 / Non Judicial Stamp Paper.
Copy of Mark Sheet of Class 10th (X) Attested by the Principal of Present School / College.
Verification by the Principal of Present School / College ( As per Annexure-I).
A One Copy Passport Size Colour Photograph Attested by the Head / Principal of Present School / College.
Copy of Proof of Religion Certificate (Minority) attested by the Head of School / Institution.
Copy of Verified Pass Book / Cancelled Cheque of the Bank Account of Students.
MAEF Scholarship Application Process :
Maulana Azad Education Foundation Scholarship 2016 shall be made through 2 Process-
OFFLINE (Download Application Form) - Applicant required to visit official portal of www.maef.nic.in then Download Application Form. Application Form correctly & Completely filled up. Attached with All required Copy of Documents with Application. Send Applications through Post / Courier in the Office of the Maulana Azad Education Foundation ( Chelmsford Road, New Delhi- 110 055) on or before 30 September / October 2016.
