WBDIT :
Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) under Department of Technical Education & Training ,  Govt of West Bengal. The Directorate of Industrial Training was set up around the year of 1956, presently this Directorate (WBDIT) is shifted to new location at Rajarhat from Bikash Bhavan. The newq Address is (Karigori Bhavan, Action Area-III, Plot No. B/7, New Town, Rajarhat, Kolkata- 700160). The directorate is responsible for- 
  1. Conducting Examinations.
  2. Carrying out the policy laid down by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
  3. Issuing the National Trade Certificates.
  4. Arranging  for Inspection of training institute / Centers.
  5. Conducting NCVT and Non NCVT courses.
  6. Affiliating trade units of training institutes / centers.
  7. Implementing the provisions of apprentices act in respect of State Government / Privet establishment and providing employment services.
