WB Health GNM Admission 2016 in 1070 Male / Female Nursing Training. Government of West Bengal, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Admission to the General Nursing & Midwifery (G.N.M) Course for the session September 2016 to August 2019. Applications are invited for Admission to 3 years GNM Training Course including Six Months Internship in 1000 Female Nurse & 70 Male Nurse in Nursing Training Schools under Govt. of West Bengal. Course of :

General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) - 1077 Seats (1000 Seats for Female Candidates & 70 Seats for Male Candidates).

Seat Reservation :

Reservation of seats of candidates is given below.

• 22% Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) Candidates.
• 6% Seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates.
• 10% Seats are Reserved for OBC A candidates.
• 7% Seats are reserved for OBC B Candidates.
• 2% Seats are reserved for Female candidates belonging to Orphanages and Inmates of Destitute Homes recognized by the Social Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.
• 2.5% Seats are reserved for Lady Civil Defence Volunteers under Home (Civil Defence) Department, Government of West Bengal.

Age Limit :

Applicant required age should be between 17 years to 27 years as on 01.01.2016

Essential Qualification :

The candidates must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the district of West Bengal (From where the candidates applies) Uninterruptedly for at least Five years preceding the date of submission of Application. Candidates Minimum Educational Qualification should be passed Higher Secondary Examination from WBCHSE or Passed equivalent examination from any recognized Council / Board.

Required Document with Application Form :

Applications must be accompanied by Original / Self Attested Photocopies (whichever applicable) of each of the Following Documents. If any document is not submitted with the application, the application will be rejected. Required Document list is given below-

1. Self Attested Xerox Copy of Mark Sheet of Higher Secondary Exam or Equivalent Examination.
2. Age Proof Document as Self Attested Photocopy of Admit Card or Certificate of Madhyamik or Equivalent Examination.
3. Original Copy of the Residential Certificate as prescribed below in the application form of this advertisement should be issued only by a Gazetted Government Officer of the Concerned District where the candidates Resides / Sabhadhipati of Local Zilla Parishad / Sabhapati of Local Panchayet Samity / Prodhan of Local Gram Panchayet / Mayor or Councilor of Local Municipal Corporation / Chairman of Local Municipality / Ward Councilor of local Municipality / Local M.P / Local M.L.A mentioning that the candidate has been there permanently or for the period of last 5 years till date.
4. Self Attested photocopy of candidate own Caste Certificate ( SC / ST / OBC). Certificate must be issued by proper authority.
5. One Recent Colour Self Signed Passport Size Photograph which is to be affixed on the top Right hand corner of the Application form.
6. One Self Address envelop with requisite postal stamps pasted on the proper place. 
7. Self Attested Photocopy of certificate issued by the Officer in Charge of the concerned Department to the effect to availing Civil Defence Training and self attested photocopy of membership certificate of casualty service, Civil defence with serial No. issued by the officer Commanding, casualty Service, Civil Defence (Applicable for Lady Civil Defence Volunteers only).
8. Original copy of the residential certificate issued by the Superintendent of the Home towards Orphanage and inmate-ship (of at least 5 years) in the concerned destitute Homes recognized by the Social welfare Department, Government of West Bengal (Applicable for Orphanage / inmates of destitute homes and for Female candidates).

Selection Process :

Selection will be made strictly on the basic of total marks obtained in compulsory subject (Language out of which English must be one and three elective subject (best 3 except Environmental Studies) in the H.S or equivalent Examination. The applicants of candidates from vocational stream will not be considered . Selection is subject to verification of mark sheet from HS council / concern authority.
