Ordnance Factory, Jabalpur Announces Recruitment 2014 for the post of Apprentice Trainees (34 Vacancies)

Ordnance Factories Board (OFB), consisting of the Indian Ordnance Factories, is an industrial setup functioning under the Department of Defence Production of Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is engaged in production, testing, logistics, research, development and marketing of a comprehensive product range in the areas of land, air and sea systems.

Ordnance Factory, Jabalpur branch, under Ministry of Defence has invited applications for the recruitment of Apprenticeship Trainees. Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year.

Details of positions: Total 34 Posts (UR-17, SC-05, ST-07, OBC-05)

        I.            Engineering Graduate Apprentice
1. Chemical Engineering: 10 Posts
2. Electrical Engineering: 01 Post
3. Mechanical Engineering: 04 Posts
4. Metallurgy: 01 Post

      II.            Diploma Engineering Trainees
1. Civil Engineering: 01 Post
2. Electrical Engineering: 03 Posts
3. Mechanical Engineering: 10 Posts

    III.            Technician-Vocational Apprentice
1. Medical Lab. Technician: 01 Post
2. Office Secretary/ Stenography: 01 Post
3. Purchasing/ Storekeeping: 02 Posts

Educational Qualification:

• Graduate Apprentice: A Graduate Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent in concerned branch of Engineering
• Diploma Engineering Trainees: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology or equivalent in concerned branch of Engineering
• Technician-Vocational Apprentice: A certificate holder of at least 2 years of education after completion of Secondary (10th) education. The certificate must be recognized by the AICTE. This should be added with Technician/ Vocational course in respective disciplines.

Age requirement:

The candidate must be having minimum of 18 years as on the last date of application. However, there is no upper age limit for these apprenticeship training.

Pay Scale:

• Graduate Apprentice: Rs.3560 per month
• Diploma Engineering Trainees: Rs.2530 per month
• Technician-Vocational Apprentice: Rs.1970 per month

Selection procedure:

• The candidate will be selected on the basis of Merit through the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
• There will be Oral Test and Medical Test before final selection.
