West Bengal Staff Selection Commission has recently published MA 16 Online applications from eligible Indian candidates for Recruitment to the 28 Post of Meteorological Assistant in the Directorate of Agriculture under Department of Agriculture, Government of West Bengal. - Age limit - 18 years to 40 years as on 01/01/2016. Upper age limit is relaxable- by 5 years for SC / ST Candidates of West Bengal, By 3 years for OBC A / B candidates of West Bengal. all others candidates age relaxable is applicable as per exiting Government rules.
- Educational Qualification - Candidates must have educational qualification should be Higher Secondary(HS) Exam Passed in the Science Stream with Mathematics and Physics having at least 50% marks in Science subjects or with Geography (Pure) as one of the subjects having at least 50% marks therein.
- Essential Qualifications - Must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable to those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali) as per Finance Department.
Scale of Pay :
Candidates Scale of Pay after joining this post (Meteorological Assistant) is - Pay band-2 (Rs.5400/ - Rs.25200/) with Grade Pay of Rs.2900/.
Examination Fee & Processing Fee :
Candidates Required to pay Examination Fee Rs.200 and Processing Fee Rs.20 (Total Rs.220) for Unreserved candidates (UR & OBC). SC / ST candidates are exempt for paying Examination fee they can only Pay Processing fee of Rs.20 (For SC, ST candidates). Candidates making online payment gateway using Debit cards / Credit Cards / net Banking of any bank will be charged an additional amount. No exemption of fees is available to the SC / ST / BC A / BC B candidates of other states. No other payment mode is acceptable.Application fees is non refundable. All applicant required to pay examination fee other wise application from is cancelled without any notice.

The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission shall have the discretion to prescribe the Scheme and Syllabus for this examination. The mode of examination , either Offline or Online , will be decided by the Commission and the same will be published in Commission's website in due course.
